Brian Sheerin - Vocals

Sheerin was born in New York City, grew up in New Jersey and headed for the west coast when he was 20 years old. 

Known for being one half of the vocal team for the San Diego hardcore band Mower alongside Dominic Moscatello, Sheerin's reputation for unhinged live performances and relentless promotion precede him. In addition to Mower, Sheerin fronted their offshoot jazz alter-ego, Slower, again with Moscatello. 

As a child, The Monkees and The Beatles were his first introduction to music and things quickly went south upon receiving Kiss Alive II one birthday.  The Rolling Stones are Sheerin's favorite band of all time. Other favorites include The Clash, Hanoi Rocks, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Who, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Guns N' Roses, Jane's Addiction, Green River, Mudhoney, Mother Love Bone, Melvins, Failure, Queens of the Stone Age, Deftones, Snot, Vivaldi and The Bronx.

When Mower rolled to a stop after two decades that included opening for Slayer and FEAR, touring Japan, and performing with damn near every big metal band of the 2000s, their swan song was to be a large outdoor concert with P.O.D. 

Brian went on to join Johnny Crittenden and Keith McBean in what would become Audio Addiction as Sheerin somehow managed to lure future Desponders bassist, Kevin Stram, into the fold. In its short lifespan Audio Addiction saw their first song, "The Way To Hell," serve as soundtrack to a short Red Bull film garnering 350,000 views on YouTube. Then they recorded a track with Louis XIV/The Killers guitarist Brian Karscig and performed an arena show for San Diego radio station 91X with The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Passion Pit and more in addition to sold out shows with T.S.O.L. and Unwritten Law.

Sheerin's first band, Intension, included Anacrusis drummer Mike Owen, who later performed with Sheerin on the self titled Mower album and subsequent tours. In addition to Moscatello, Chris McCredie was the third core member of Mower throughout the years, a band that also included Contortion guitarist Brian "Stone" Pennington and father and son team Alex and Ryan Toth among its alumni.

Mower released three albums on Suburban Noize Records and toured 48 states and a few countries behind those releases. The band was notorious for exciting live shows and offstage mayhem.

Sheerin, Moscatello and McCredie were adept at leveraging sponsors and created many win-win relationships with companies like Jagermeister, Lost Clothing, Ernie Ball, Ampeg, SRH Clothing, Schechter Guitars, La Jolla Tattoo, Seedless Clothing, Anarchy Eyewear, Core Tattoo, Munitio Earbuds, No Fear Clothing, Ed Hardy, VANS, Sik World Productions, Corona Cerveza, Blenders Eyewear and Zzyzx Clothing.

After moving back to the east coast on the tail of the pandemic. Sheerin continued his love affairs with Central and South America and then planned a quick vacation back to see friends in San Diego that would randomly lead him to his current role as Stretcher vocalist. The visit resume a friendship with Joe McGowan and Tom Stuart that began in the early days of Mower and Stretcher when the two bands teamed up for dozens of early shows together in San Diego in the 90s and 2000s and began a new friendship with guitarist Chris Hartjen.

Sheerin sings through a wired Shure Beta 58 and has used a Shure PSM in-ear monitor system in the past in addition to Shure wireless microphones.  He hasn't found a microphone stand that holds up yet. For years, Brian sparingly used a TC Helicon vocal doubler live but often couldn't tell if it was even doing anything, so at one point he sold it. He has completely smashed more microphone pop filters than he cares to admit but has been behaving much better lately.

Six new tracks produced and mixed by Eddie Wohl (Anthrax) in Los Angeles with drums tracked by recording engineers Eric Emery (Blink-182) and Eddy Garcia (Pissing Razors,) Information Overdose is powerful and difficult to pin down. It's heavy, but full of hooks and earworms. Vocals run through the ages of rock n' roll and the grooving punch of Stretcher's rhythm section propels an almost punk guitar style. Whatever it is, it rocks and you can sing along with it. Information Overdose was mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More) and is arriving April 4, 2025 on all major platforms.

Stretcher made their name with nationwide Metalfest stops and shows with Marilyn Manson, Machine Head, and Cannibal Corpse. Stretcher self-released two albums, "Everybody Loves A Tragedy"(1998) and "Annomundi"(2000.) Mower and Sheerin gained international recognition with tracks like “Road Rage,” featured on Sirius XM and MTV’s Headbangers' Ball, and "General Admission" featured in an MX vs. ATV video game.  Mower released three albums on Suburban Noize Records - "Mower" (2003,) "Not For You"(2006, which featured production by Snot and Soulfly guitarist Mikey Doling) and "Make It A Double"(2009, where Sheerin first collaborated with producer Eddie Wohl.) Mower shared stages with Slayer, Disturbed, System of a Down, and Linkin Park. Both bands hail from the same San Diego scene that birthed P.O.D., Blink-182, and Unwritten Law.
